Fabián’s Return to Mexico Marks MASL Broadcasting Milestone

Chihuahua vs. Empire made available in over 100 countries

 Ontario, Calif. — Tonight’s Major Arena Soccer League (MASL) game between the Empire Strykers and host Chihuahua Savage will carry historic implications in terms of the game’s global reach. As Marco Fabián and company travel to the Mexican star’s native country for their 2024-25 Major Arena Soccer League (MASL) opener, their clash with the reigning back-to-back champion will be available to audiences in over 100 countries via an unprecedented number of outlets.

When the two teams kick things off at Corner Sport Arena on Friday evening at 6 PM PST, fans around the world will be able to follow the action on multiple platforms, including SportWorld, National Soccer Network (NSN), Unbeaten Sports Channel, Twitch, Rumble and YouTube.

“Indoor soccer is simply a ton of fun to watch, so we know there are countless people who either already love it or are waiting to be converted,” said Mike Zepeda, the MASL’s live broadcast technical director. “The unmatched exposure enjoyed by the Savage and the Strykers in today’s match marks a bold step forward for our sport. We’re thrilled to share this landmark event with viewers worldwide via such a large variety of channels.”

While the fixture between Chihuahua and Empire will feature Spanish-language commentators on location, the Strykers will provide English-language audio as part of a watch party held at the podcast studio of club sponsor National CORE. With fans in attendance and cheering on their team, experienced broadcaster Jose Duran will call the game from behind soundproof glass, lending his voice to streams accessed around the world.

As part of the MASL’s commitment to transparency and fan interaction, its president, Jeff Burum, will take questions from Duran during halftime. He is expected to offer insight into the league’s current direction and its vision for the future of indoor soccer.
