From the Parade to the Pitch: Meet Super Fan Vincent Lara

The energy, passion, and dedication of our fans help make the Empire Strykers special. Through our Super Fan Spotlight series, we celebrate the supporters who proudly represent the club and create unforgettable memories at every match.

For 11-year-old Vincent Lara, becoming a Strykers fan began when he saw the team in a parade in Ontario. His support grew after his mom took him and his friends to a match as a birthday present.

“I saw Marco Fabián do a bicycle kick—it was so cool!” Vincent recalled.

Vincent continues supporting the Strykers because of his love for soccer and the excitement of watching the team score. His ideal game day includes cheering with friends and enjoying plenty of popcorn.

His connection to the club grew even stronger at a Strykers soccer camp, where he met his favorite player, Brian Orozco. Vincent dreams of becoming a goalkeeper one day and appreciated the opportunity to learn from Brian.

“He taught me how to be a better goalie,” Vincent shared.

When asked what being part of the Empire Strykers family means to him, Vincent answered with one powerful word: “Happiness.”

As the upcoming season approaches, Vincent is most excited about seeing the Strykers win.

“I love cheering for the Strykers!” he said. “I have fun going to the games and seeing the players I met at soccer camp playing on the field.”
