Every great team needs a tyler

Empire Strykers fans—have you ever wondered who it is behind the scenes making all these great things happen for the Strykers?

• Creating a fabulous game-day experience.
• Helping put a highly competitive team on the field while keeping the club engaged with the community.
• Encouraging kids and families to live fit and healthy lifestyles.
• Teaching soccer skills to the next generation through youth camps and clinics.

Well, that's your Empire Strykers front office staff, and we're excited to help you get to know them through a series of interviews about their role with the club, their passion for sports, and what it's like working behind the scenes for the Empire Strykers.

Getting to Know Tyler

Every successful organization depends on people who keep things running behind the scenes, and for the Empire Strykers, Tyler plays an important role in making that happen. As the club's Ticket Coordinator & Executive Assistant, he has spent more than two years helping support the front office while ensuring daily operations run as smoothly as possible.

Like many careers in professional sports, Tyler's journey with the Empire Strykers began with a simple opportunity.

"My career started as an internship," he said.

That internship eventually led to a full-time position, marking one of the most memorable moments of his time with the organization.

"Being hired full-time after starting as an intern was definitely my most memorable experience," Tyler shared. "Everyone made the transition feel very special."

Today, Tyler's role touches nearly every corner of the front office.

"When I come into the office, I check emails, answer phone calls, receive packages, check the mail, and help Kellie and anyone else in the office with whatever they need."

Whether assisting with ticket operations, supporting staff, or handling the countless day-to-day responsibilities that keep the office organized, Tyler enjoys being part of a team where everyone works toward the same goal.

When asked what he enjoys most about working for the Empire Strykers, the answer was simple.

"I really enjoy working with everyone in the office."

That team-first mentality is something Tyler believes defines the organization's culture.

"The culture in the office is great," he said. "We work hard and always get the job done."

While much of his work happens behind the scenes, Tyler also appreciates the Empire Strykers' commitment to making an impact throughout the Inland Empire.

"I think being a community-based team is awesome because it gets more people interested in coming to games and supporting the organization."

Like many members of the front office, Tyler says fans often don't realize just how much preparation goes into every Empire Strykers game.

"I think people would be surprised by the amount of preparation that goes into each game."

As the club continues to grow, Tyler is excited about what lies ahead.

"Every year I've been here, we've continued to improve, and I'm excited to see that growth continue."

He also believes the future is bright not only for the Empire Strykers, but for the Major Arena Soccer League as a whole.

"The Empire Strykers and the MASL are continuing to grow every year, and it's exciting to be part of that journey," he said. "I'm looking forward to seeing what the future holds for the franchise."

So now you've gotten to know Tyler a little better. The next time you see him at a clinic, community event, or an Empire Strykers game, be sure to say hello!
