Christian Bale Just Changed Foster Care Forever

The Empire Strykers are officially taking their community blueprint across county lines, stepping up as a community partner for the historic ribbon-cutting ceremony of Together California’s revolutionary foster care village in Palmdale. The high-profile press day, drawing national outlets like The New York Times and People Magazine, marks a massive milestone for the $22 million, 4.67-acre compound spearheaded by Oscar-winning actor Christian Bale and his wife, Sibi Blažić.

The ribbon-cutting celebrates a model that completely upends traditional foster care systems to solve a heartbreaking reality: nearly 75% of foster siblings are separated from one another.

The Together California village flips the process entirely:

• The Sibling Core: Instead of moving children between temporary locations, the siblings stay permanently together inside one of the 12 individual family-style townhomes.
• Trained Foster Guardians: Professionally trained, full-time foster parents are thoroughly interviewed, vetted, and integrated into the home.
• Accountability First: If a foster placement does not work out, the parents are transitioned out of the home, rather than uprooting the children.
• The Intentional Village: The property features a community center alongside transitional housing units designed to shield young adults aging out of the system from potential homelessness.

The Empire Strykers Director of Community Relations, Ashley Cole, is attending the ceremony to officially present a specialized donation of soccer balls to the compound, planting the seeds for future youth wellness clinics and active play on the village grounds.
